A night of solidarity in Girona: An unforgettable experience with the Enriqueta Villacchia Foundation

Today I want to share with you a magical night that I had the honour of experiencing in Girona. Last October 9, I attended, together with the Hotel Ciutat de Girona team, the "Night of Solidarity Stories", a charity dinner organized by the Enriqueta Villavecchia Foundation. It was an evening full of emotions, solidarity and hope.

The dinner was held in a lovely setting, at La Finca Mas Batlle of the Mimolet group, which delighted us with an exquisite meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and you could see the enthusiasm and commitment of all those present to contribute to such an important cause.

One of the most special moments of the night was the performance of the singer Miquel Abras, born in Bisbal de l’Empordà. His songs resonated deeply with all of us, adding a touch of magic and excitement to the event. In addition, we had the privilege of receiving a copy of "Relats Solidaris de l'Esport", a book that collects inspiring stories written by renowned sports journalists in the country.

But beyond the music and good food, what really made this night special was the cause that brought us together. The Enriqueta Villavecchia Foundation works tirelessly to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and other serious illnesses. The profits raised will go to the Victory Pavilion, a unique and pioneering center dedicated to caring for these little warriors and supporting their families in the most difficult times.

It was exciting to see how the Girona community, including the Hotel Ciutat de Girona team, came together to support this initiative. The appreciation words dedicated to us by the representatives of the foundation reached our hearts. They reminded us that despite the unexpected and difficult paths that can appear in life, solidarity and love can light up even the darkest nights.

If you want to know more about the wonderful work that the Enriqueta Villavecchia Foundation does, I encourage you to visit their website. Every small gesture count, and together we can make a big difference in the lives of these children.

I feel deeply grateful to have been a part of this special night and to be able to share this experience with you. Girona always surprises me with its ability to unite hearts for a good cause.

See you soon and remember that solidarity is the way to make the world a better place.
